Pekinpah Association is home to the renowned band Silence. SILENCE is: Hladnik (music and arrangements) and Benko (music, lyrics and vocals). The duet Silence has released five albums so far: Ma non troppo (1997), Unlike a Virgin (1999), Vain – a Tribute to a Ghost (2004), Key Silence (2CD, 2006) and Musical Accompaniment for the End of the World (2012). In 2006, the duet composes and produces Volk, Laibach’s 12th album. In 2015, Laibach and Silence become the first Western alternative acts to perform in North Korea. Silence have written numerous scores for plays and dance performances. They regularly collaborate with theatre directors Matjaž Pograjc, Tomaž Pandur, Aleksandar Popovski and Primož Ekart. The duet's discography includes the following theatre scores: Maison des rendez-vous (2003), Love Unto Death (2007), Veronika (2005) and The Passion of the Cold (2008), a double album with music from (and inspired by) Pandur’s plays Barroco and Caligula. The duet has also scored three feature films by Damjan Kozole (A Call Girl, Project Cancer and Nightlife) and a handful of short films.

On November 4, at Cankarjev dom, Silence will present The Vocabulary of Madness, their first album in a decade
On December 22, Silence performed at the State Celebration of the Slovene Independence and Unity Day. The event's artistic program - entitled 'Fine-Tuning, Concerto for a Two-Million Piece Orchestra' - was conceived and directed by the duet. The event featured a formal address by Dr. Miro Cerar, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia.

We're delighted to announce the premiere of Codelli, Miha Čelar's feature-length film about inventor and pioneer film-maker Anton Codelli (1875-1954). Part biopic, part documentary, Codelli offers a masterful performance by Primož Bezjak in the title role. It also features one of Silence's most elaborate soundtracks to date.
Three days - and each day a new song by Silence. The tracks were recorded for Matjaž Pograjc's play Človeški faktor (Human Error), which opens on Monday, December 12 at the Mladinsko Theatre in Ljubljana (SLO). The songs will be available as a free download at soundcloud.com/silence-zone.

Musical Accompaniment for the End of the World is the musical equivalent of enjoying a glass of Laphroaig whiskey while observing a rapidly approaching storm through the window. It is soothing ... despite the unshakeable sensation of impending doom.
The book contains 24 compositions written for, or inspired by, Tomaz Pandur's plays Baroque and Caligula. Silence's very first published score, edited by Hladnik, features 124 pages of meticulous notations.
