Join us at the Figovec Poster Gallery on Friday, June 5th at 17:00 for the opening of the Fatherland exhibition - a series of posters by graphic designer Boris Balant, which was created to mark the 15th anniversary of the Spider Festival.

The exhibition will be opened by Tomaž Drozg, Director of the TAM-TAM Institute, Boris Balant, designer and author of the exhibition, and Matej Kejžar, dancer, dancemaker, and artistic director of the Spider Festival.
Boris Balant has been an integral part of the Spider Festival team since its very beginning. Every year, he creates a new image for the festival and with it a poster, which should not be seen only as a visual representation of the festival program, but as a visual commentary on current social circumstances.
The exhibition examines the visual development of the Spider Festival from today's point of view. Balant uses his own artistic and design perspective on old posters, establishing a fresh and current look at the genesis of the festival, which is, so to speak, also the genesis of society here.
